well - PHCC gives you more then EPIC.

in PHCC you have 1024 digital inputs, 35 analog inputs - 3 of them high
update ones.
you can connect as many digital outputs as you want, where you have the
selection of servo boards, LED boards, character LCD's (iirc), and high amp
digital outputs.

a stepper boards is in the works ( the hardware is ready and just waiting
for firmware), and a synchro board is being thought of.

oh - one important thins - it's all open source, and it works - manuel ( the
designer) has it working in linux and we have it working in windows.
