[simpits-tech] ICP

Mechanically that will function correctly, Frank. We did try that same
technique too but we were not happy with the robustness of any four-way hat
switch that we found in Thrustmater type joysticks once we added an
appropriate "bat" to operate the switch with.

Our case may be somewhat pathological though -- the real ICP is something
like a half inch thick light plate/panel arrangement (has to be that thick
to accommodate the tile switch mechanisms I'd guess). This means the
four-way switch body is recessed quite a way, requiring a longish "bat"
handle -- this ends up putting a lot of torque on the switch mechanism...the
original TM ones we tried just didn't work after a while. That switch gets
quite the work out when you're flying along ;-)

Cheers,

Mark.
