Well as a matter of fact I have been trying to scrape together an
avionics panel but haven't been able to find the right type of knobs.
But that's sorta what I was thinking for my pit, I figure I can go ahead
and work on some stuff like the avionics panel including some switches
etc, maybe a yoke console and pedals, and a visual system (I'm thinking
of using a fresnel lens and monitor as a projector and either bounce it
off the wall or hang a sheet or something up for rear projection). Also
I've pretty much figured out a very quick easy way to do glass
instruments, using X-Plane and Roy's X-Panel program (would just need to
buy some old PCs). I'd like to have most of the "hard stuff" figured out
before starting the pit. Of course there's the possbility that I could
learn Visual Basic sometime (BIG maybe) and try using phidgets to drive
instruments, but for the moment I am just trying to plan with what
skills and resources I have now.
