 somewhat soft, since it also forms the

 joystick 
:::: &nbsp; &gt;&nbsp;gimbal pivots, and=
 they tend to develop minute amounts of 
:::: &nbsp; &quot;play&quot; over=
 time. 
:::: &nbsp; &gt;&nbsp;This leads me to=
 believe that the cast core could break if 
:::: &nbsp; subjected to 
:::: &nbsp; &gt;&nbsp;repetitive force=
 loads of the RW F-16 variety. &nbsp;Moving the 
:::: &nbsp; pivot from the 
:::: &nbsp; &gt;&nbsp;center of the housing=
 2&quot; lower into the base should result 
:::: &nbsp; in approximately 
:::: &nbsp; &gt;&nbsp;1/2&quot; tp 1&quot;=
 of play, which will translate to about 3 - 4 
:::: &nbsp; times that at a 
:::: &nbsp; &gt;&nbsp;distance of=
 approximately 12 - 15&quot; from the pivot (not to 
:::: &nbsp; mention a reduced 
:::: &nbsp; &gt;&nbsp;force load due to the=
 increased lever arm). &nbsp;This movement

 joystick gimbal that incorporates the stock

 like to do, given their precision and

:::: &nbsp; &gt;&nbsp;with the Coug's=
 electronics. &nbsp;Once one nips the gimbal 
:::: &nbsp; pivots off of the 
:::: &nbsp; &gt;&nbsp;Cougar core, it will=
 slide into 3/4&quot; gas pipe with room to 
:::: &nbsp; spare. &nbsp;This=
 forms 
:::: &nbsp; &gt;&nbsp;the beginning of a=
 new core that extends the afformentioned 
:::: &nbsp; 12 - 15&quot;,=
 albeit 
:::: &nbsp; &gt;&nbsp;stepped down at some=
 point to 1/2&quot; gas pipe, and mounted in 
:::: &nbsp; a new gimbal 
:::: &nbsp; &gt;&nbsp;composed of inline=
 skate bearings. &nbsp;I want &quot;robust&quot; too,=
 but 
:::: &nbsp; with a degree of 
:::: &nbsp; &gt;&nbsp;play more closely=
 matched to my superspiffy pedals. ;-)
