Preparing Windows

If there's a gameport on your computer
If you have a gameport integrated on you soundcard (a separate gamecard needs to be removed) it is important that you disable this gameport first. This can be done by selecting the device manager from your control panel. Double click on your Audio-, Video- and Gamecontroller and select the joystickport entry. Click properties and select disable device. Reboot your system.

If you only remove the entry from the device manager, Windows probably will recognize and install the gameport each time you reboot your system, which would cause conflicts with your EPIC card.

If there is no gameport on your PC
If you do not have any gameports installed, there's nothing you need to do here.
Getting EPIC into the devicemanager
Because EPIC isn't a Plug and Play device, you need to install it manually. Rename the Joystick.inf file which is located in your Windows\inf directory into Joystick.old (or something like that). Copy the Joystick.inf file located in your EPIC directory into your Windows\inf directory. Shutdown and reboot your system. Select new hardware from settings/control panel. Click next, and when Windows want's to search for new hardware, choose no, next, Sound-, Video-, Gamecontrollers. In the left window choose R&R Electronics, then EPIC game card in the right window. Click next, next, finish and reboot your computer.
After rebooting, choose the device-manager, Sound- Video- Gamecontroller, R&R Electronics EPIC game card --> Properties. Click on the resources tab and make sure the port-settings are:

200h, 201h, 202h-207h or 202h-20Fh, 280h-28Fh

If the port range is not set to these values, correct them and reboot your system.

Congratulations, you made it!! ;)
