Hehe, here ya go:

http://68.12.192.171:8080/pics/sim/

Specifically, the ones starting with "sim" are the latest batch, there are a couple other things in that directory you might find interesting (like an early video of the turn coordinator). Please pardon the messy shop.......currently buying a house, I will soon have more room to better organize. :)

Everything you see on the panel is fully functional, except: the airspeed indicator is limited to 180* until I figure out a winch servo or I just switch to air core motors; the little black knob left of the yoke is for panel lights dimming, and one of the metal toggle switches is for instrument lights on/off...neither of those work yet, because I haven't figured out a good lighting system. The real vernier parking brake knob even works, it's a HELP (yes that's the brand) carb/throttle cable from an automotive store, with the cable mostly removed and just the handle left, installed in a custom bracket that also houses a slide potentiometer. I've tied this to the left proportional brake in X-Plane, and my plugin slaves the right brake to it, so I get even, proportional braking from that knob. This is A Good Thing (tm) since I don't have brakes on my Thrustmaster pedals (I really like the old TM pedals, but they lack brakes).

That meager little 20-something LCD will soon give way to a fancy projected setup I hope, but we will see. Once I get my new place, I will have the room to start testing different visual system ideas. I have an idea for a potentially great one from a passing comment made by another sim builder on X-Plane.org regarding his own setup, we shall see............

I'm having a blast. :) This is literally a dream come true for me, I have been intensely interested in building a sim ever since I found out about home cockpit building 10+ years ago when my dad got a job at FlightSafety and I was inspired to build. :) Now I finally have the equipment, knowledge, and skills to actually do something and make measurable progress. Buying a Lear nose section will be the next big step.

Matt
