Well Sir,

 That is pretty damned cool. The KISS theory taken to the extreme.

You know, you wouldn't even have to bother tearing apart the monitor. Just 
adjust the view of the lens so it doesn't go beyond the screen image.

I don't know what the fans were all about either. You don't need the light 
on underneath so no heat there, and monitors don't have fans anyway.

Awesome in any respect.

I'll be on the look-out for an old transparency projector for sure.
