Justin, that's *exactly* how you're supposed to do it.  That little USB 
dongle is the perfect solution in this case.

One thing I'd really love to see is a way to "aircraft-ize" the audio for 
the radio.  Aircraft radios have a very distinct sound to them - some have 
a slight 400Hz hum in the audio and all of them seem to have the same kind 
of sharp PTT "click" to them.
