I thought the cockpit was kind of strange too.

I've actually given serious thought to a 1:1 scale model of a Viper using 
the 'bot, but fortunately my common sense breaker trips every time I start 
thinking about it. :)

I think a _good_ spaceship cockpit built to work with a couple of the open 
source/open arch. space sims/games would be cool.  Orbiter is fully 
capable of supporting a high-fidelity cockpit via the SDK they have.


FYI, the last season of BSG starts on Friday night.  W00t! :)
