Talking STL files... I only just met them recently, one of our 
suppliers uses STL in his CNC Routing doodah...  Question:  Can I 
convert dxf's or 3ds's to STL, and if so, with what?

I have a bunch of those switches on my AFCS for the TA-4, with the 
same hope; that they actually work!
