Is there anyway to use the speakers and mic from a military flight helmet
with a PC? I know that flighthelmet.com sells a military-to-G/A avionics
converter, and they also sell another device to convert that into the
standard stereo headphones plug, but together these cost about $170. There's
got to be some way to do this for less money. I know there was someone who
had built a circuit that'd convert General Aviation headphones to PC
headphones, but I can't find it. Even then you'd still have to convert the
military avionics to civilian first...

I'm not an expert when it comes to this stuff, but you'd think there'd have
to be some sort of way to do this yourself.
