Brian,

Go to a hobby or craft shop, especially hobby. They have styrene
sheets for modelers to make structure for dioramas and model train setups.
I have gotten some to make spacers and board insulators at the on campus
bookstore. I have seen the same thing at a hobby store that specialized in
plastic model kits. It comes in various thicknesses. You score it with
an Exacto knife then break along the scribe.

I learn all this stuff by having to repair 30 year old equipment here
in my department!

I believe the original light you want had three layers, the back layer
was translucent plastic, the next was the label and the top was
a thin clear sheet to protect the label.

Some of the front of those housings appear on Ebay, usually like
"Nuclear Consent" or such. Look under
:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=2478771568&category=26439&sspagename=WDVW
I believe this what you are looking for. This guy has had a few already,
e-mail him and see if he has more and offer to buy them outright.
