[simpits-tech] Volume control ?

I took a pot from an old hedseat I had and mounted it in the pit. I dont understand how but it does slightly increase the volume of the sound from the PC even though it's not powered. I also have the wires running through a toggle switch so I can shut it on or off arrording to start up shut down preceedures. It works great. I'd hate to get in and out of the pit too!
 
You could by an audio pot from radio shack or some such place.
