A suggestion: When I bought mine, I had a choice of 2 types. I opted for the cheaper one, and do not recall how the higher end one was built. But mine uses a diode to control the voltage / current to the bulb. I was told that if I used too big of a bulb, the diode would blow. This may be what has happened with your OHP. Alex
