Incidentally, the Wright-Patt Air Force Museum has a display dedicated
to
Murphy.

Apparently, he was a tech at the base.  One of his supervisors got so
fed up
with him that when they were discussing a project he was working on the
supervisor stated something to the effect that if Murphy was working on
it,
something would go wrong.  From that point on Murphy's law was born...
