I use a commercial plug converter to convert the military plug to a =
general
aviation mic and headset plug. I then built one of Brian's little boxes
that converts the general aviation plugs to PC sound card compatible =
plugs
and then plug those into the sound card. I have 2 sound cards installed =
in
my computer, one for music and Falcon sound effects and one for use with =
my
headset and mic for Roger Wilco. I have and old P233 MMX that I set up =
and
use just as a RW base station. I play online with a buddy of mine in =
Spain
who was a real Viper driver and he says it sounds just fine. I have =
also
tested it with my wife on her computer and using Yahoo messenger and she
says she can hear me loud and clear. I don't use any mixer or anything =
with
mine. I am using the military ear phones that come with the HGU-55/P =
helmet
and the mic that come with my MBU-20/P Oxygen mask.

Yup. I run it through a audio mixer board, then the PC using Roger =
Wilco.

The next thing is to use the throttle com switch to switch between RW =
and
some sort of voice recognition program to send voice activated commands =
to
F4.

Also use the headset in my helmet.

pick up the things I am saying by building a little preamp. That was =
easy
enough... however, now I am having a problem of clarity. No amount of
software adjustments I make can reduce the amount of "rumbling" noise I
suppose if you imagine the sound of vibration within the mask.

Initially I thought it was a case with the miltary specs microphone. So =
I
blu tak a conventional PC mic to inside the mask. The result was almost

presuming.
if I take the mic away from within the mask. It sounds prefect, but with =
the
mask. If I have it hanging on the Bayonet clips on one side. The mic =

Is there anything I can do to make it work better to a clearer standard =

=20
Filter?a sponge around the mic? special type of mic to use? I am not =
sure
where to go from here.
