Hi all,

I am asking the question based on reading of Martin's website.

http://www.xflight.de/f16/pg_org_par_tqs.htm

1) The Throttle stripe and throttle frost mentioned in the =
diagram...what function do they preform and how does it interact with =
the throttle guide rail?

By looking at the Guide rail diagram, the Detent for AB and Max AB looks =
like it has a physical barrier to stop the throttle from entering that =
position accidently. Is this the function of throttle frost to act as a =
mechanical mean to "stop"the throttle entering the AB zone and makes the =
pilot "Bang" the throttle in really hard" to get into AB?

2) When the Cutoff release is pushed in... what function does it =
perform?

I spend a little time inside a Boeing Superhornet sim. The guy let me =
did a carrier take off which I almost felt straight into the soup =
(infront ofthe public!!! how embarrassing) because I wasnt aware I wasnt =
in Full AB. He reached in and "Crank" the throttle up, that's when I =
realised how the cougar is miles apart from the real detent works. =
Suppose the F16 throttle quardant works in a similar way too?

Here's a picture that Joe "Wombat" took of me just before the disaster =
cat launch :) www.shizznit.com/images/superhornet_1.jpg . Thanks Joe!

Cheers,

Al
