[simpits-tech] Throttle / Joystick Pots

I just decided that I want to strip my Suncom SFS out of it's case to 
reduce the space it takes up in the side console.  The question is:  Is 
there a limit in the length for the leads to the pots?  I am wanting to 
put in a quick disconnect and lengthen the leads by about 18 to 24 
inches.  I am also debating weather or not to keep the original SFS 
programmable configuration or junk it and run it all through a Hagstrom 
encoder.
