Where can we get the Litton type military connectors ? I have a few F-15
Bit panels that I am looking for connectors.

Well you could always talk to Northrop Grumman (they swallowed Litton)
for the real McCoy; a set of their 1x1x1" display cubes
(http://www.ngnavsys.com/Displays/); if you are really in the money that
is! :-)

Failing that, the only thing that we've found that look promising in
form factor and display capability terms are the 5 line 26 char displays
that Noritake makes: GU160X40-304
(http://www.noritake-elec.com/graphic.htm). We are trying to get a
sample from them to play with. They recently added optional
color/luminance filters so it looks like that unit could even look
orangey instead of its native blue. Looks like lots of work to program
though (parallel interface, no built in character generator).

If anyone has a better option though, I'd love to hear what that might
be.

Cheers,

Mark.
