You can often find it through the same suppliers you go to for other metal
products. Hardware and home improvement outlets are not always the source
for items such as this or some plastic products look in your phone book
under metal for places which may have stock on hand. They will often cut
down a large sheet for you if you need a smaller piece. Just don't ask them
for a piece 3in. X 4in. it would ruin the sheet for another use most often.
Another source may be you scrap metals dealer. Come equipped with a pair of
calipers and expect to take home more than you needed again. If you are
uncertain as to if it is aluminum try checking it first with a magnet, while
other items may not be magnetic as well. It makes for a quick test so that
you don't spend a lot of time on items you don't want.

decent price)? I can't find anything thicker than .025 at my local hardware
and home improvement outlets. Is my only option to order from an aircraft
supply outlet (and pay for minimum order charges and shipping)? Advice?
