Heheheh. I wish we had that kinda lathe! I'm sure one exists SOMEWHERE.
Speaking of lathes, I'm wondering if anyone on here has some suggestions on
how to make the control handle for the Merc. It's a kinda odd shape, and I'm
not sure what the best way to go about building it would be. Here are a
couple of pics (not very good, but best I could find at the moment):

If you can find a big enough lump of alloy, you could just turn the whole
thing out in one go on a lathe ;)
