Brian, The F-4 has hydraulically operated controls.  The stick forces were
programmed into the aircraft.  You really didn't feel much added force as
you loaded up the aircraft.  It had a movement limiter for supersonic
speeds.    You had to be careful not to over G the aircraft.when you were
transitioning from supersonic to subsonic speeds.
