[simpits-tech] cockpit lighting

Like Roy I am in a similar phrase...trying to mount panels to the pit atm...
I had in mind of using a series of small light bulbs...almost like Xmas
trees decoration....(cheap and bright)? Since they are all linked up
already. Save me do the wiring, and I can ALOT of them all string up gether
hidden underneath all the panels. At locations where it demands say a Red
color or Green color light be shown through a particular button. I can
simply change the light bulb in that one socket.

Contemplating the idea to use some reflective foil type like... to cover
interior of each dash panel. Then lighting can be more intensify and spread
all around. An immediate problem I can think of right now is the heat
issue...That was the reason how I came up with the foil reflecting the
light...so they can be place perhaps at location away from the electronics
but still provide enough luminosity to all those backlidable panels. Another
problem I can think of...but not sure if it is a real problem....from my
poor highschool physics lessons...those lightbulbs are linked in a "series"
circuit right? so if one break, then the whole thing will be dead together
(or is that parrallel hehe?)...It might be easy to fix if you can find which
one is the black sheep...but once it has been mounted into the cockpit..it
might be a very difficult task to do.

Trial and error :) if someone has tried somethign else. would love to hear
from you.
