Yep the old corroded or loose termination trick is always a great way to start a fire

Unfortunatly because of the corrosion creating a high resistance joint and the heat gererated similar to a huge resistor with no heat sink, the protection or fuse in the circuit is totally useless againt preventing this.

My apprentice is a great one for totally screwing up a termination and creating a "hot joint", no matter what way i tell/explain this to him it just doesnt sink in , yep he is all screwed up

and boys NO jokes about the apprentice learns from his tradesman, IT AINT TRUE IN THIS CASE !!!!

I have seen two fires from electrical wiring.  Both were wired per US
electrical codes(wire size vs. loads).  Both  started at screw connector
terminations housed in plastic junctions boxes.
