Totally agree,
Also note that some of us don't use EPIC but phidgets or some thing else,
and the gameport is an absolete connector.

Sounds like your KISS solution is a custom board that converts the
transducer output to something that the Cougar electronics will recognize
the same way as their pots. Sure, there are lots of solutions, but I know
from too painful experience that just because I can solve a problem a given
way, does not mean I have the time to do so. If you think the interest in
knobs was intense, Marv, the interest in this conversion will probably be
twice as much, or more. Be sure to factor in your sanity, dude!! This one
may surprise you - so the least invasive method, one that doesn't require
one to go outside of the Coug's electronics, is the best for many reasons
from many angles. Having accomplished that, it 's no big leap for the user
to toss said electronics and go all EPIC. But that's a user thing, and if
you want to address the greater Cougar audience, I would suggest keeping a
divider betwixt EPIC and Cougar.
Just my 2 cents as an extremely interested party. Hopin' to help!
Steve
