South Korea has ordered some F-16's, they have a very tentative option for
F-15's. France has cried foul claiming that the Mirage is a better aircraft
in all respects and that the US had information on the sale that wasn't
available to the French. The truth of the matter is that Korea already had
F-16's in their inventory and that they will not have to establish a new
spares contract for more aircraft in the inventory nor carry spares for a
second aircraft. F-16's and Mirage as well. France is so afraid of echelon
that every time they loose a contract the French government claims that the
US and Great Britain are spying on them.

Thanks for the update on SE Asia sales, I am always interested in who is
buying.

Keep 'em Flying
