[simpits-tech] OT: Three-place intercom

Hey Guys,

As I mentioned earlier, my father has a 1971 Deuce-and-a-half Army cargo
truck which he is fixing up. I will probably be working on it quite a bit
this summer, and hopefully we will have it completely restored by the time I
get back to college next fall. However, the thing is EXTREMELY loud, and the
cab offers little protection from the noise, as it is just a fabric roof and
rear. What my dad would like to do is build a three-person intercom system
which uses aircraft headsets, so that the people in it could have the
required hearing protection, and still be able to communicate easily. Does
anyone have any thoughts on this?

Oh, which reminds me. A while back someone posted plans to convert the
standard aircraft microphone jack to 1/8". I've got a working copy of it
myself, so I don't necessarily need the plans again, but what I do need is
the Mouser part # of the microphone jack. So if whoever posted that could
send it out again I'd appreciate it.

Thanks again,
Brian
