Sean,

Sounds you've had a good time. I had my first experiences with my pit this
weekend too. It was great, but I have not the comfort of using my projector.
A 18" Monitor is all I have at the moment. But it was also great to do a
flight with the own build pit and I am thinking of building a version 2. 2
seater and like a biz jet. But first of all I have to get more experiences
in flying. My first landing was with full power (I forget to switch off
autothrottle).

Today was a very good day!

Hooked up the projector, PC, flight controls and sound to the A-4 pit (in a 
jury-rigged temporary kind of way..) and went for a flight.

As a functional check flight it was great, it proved my theory on zoom, 
center of screen and the positioning of the HUD instruments!  Until I get a 
HUD actually working I will be projecting the HUD display with my 
out-the-window view.  The theory worked and I even had the HUD in the right 
place on the screen!

So now that I'm happy with the setup I can carry on with the knowledge that 
the visual system works as I had hoped.

I am going to bed a very happy simpitter tonight!
