<DIV>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV>I have some notes on the WW2 link trainer and came across something that may be of interest.</DIV>
<DIV>The trainer has a working fuel gauge ! in that it was a clockwork timer that ran for around a hour but was calibrated in gallons.</DIV>
<DIV>So say you plane consumes 50 gallons a hour if you wound it up the fully 60 minutes the gauge showed 50 gallons of fuel as the timer ran down the fuel gauge headed for zero also , when it reached zero it cut the engine.</DIV>
<DIV>For someone doing a light plane sim it might add a bit of extra realism knowing that a timer was ticking away and if you were not on the ground before it stopped your engine would be killed !</DIV>
