[simpits-tech] About F16 angle console....

I don't think that information is so sensitive that I would worry about it.
That's my personal opinion.

The ERTL model is not too bad. You can use the floor plan. It is correct.

The consoles are another matter. The front console for an A is very
different than the C. They have different rakes or angles from the
perpendicular of the floor. The A is set forward at 15 degrees and the C is
at 10 degrees. The ERTL model is an A.

There is information on the list for side console dimensions. They are not
accurate, unfortunately. For example, if you ever add a set of the plastic
side walls that are available from time to time on eBay, you will find
things don't match up (I did).

It is hard to imagine what your project will ultimately have as far as real
parts in the future, but you should be careful to not lock yourself out of a
great deal. One day, some part off of a real F-16 will become available at
a price you can't refuse. Then, when you try to install it, you will find
it doesn't fit.

I am speaking from experience. I have a boat load of real parts just
sitting there because they don't fit. At some point I have to build a new
cockpit. The only thing I can salvage from my current cockpit shell is the
floor and seat. ;-/ At least my new house has a place to burn stuff in the
back yard.
