Have a look at www.phidgets.com 
Im working on using these for a C172 panel.
They are very easy to use, and programming is quite simple.
Im working the radios right now, using 8x7seg displays.

I'm thinking of making a pit for FS2002 Chessna...
what software will i need to get data from the sim(software)
to the lightpanels/switchs ???
Will i need an EPIC board or are there othere boards/boxes
i can use for the control of keyboard input ???
