hi,

one more thought about head-tracking and out-of-window views:

http://www.edimensional.com/

makes a very interesting set of 3D glasses using LCD shutter technology.

this means that you can see your cockpit AND the outside world in 3D.

they also offer the head-tracking thingie to really round things out.

if they get this working with LCD projectors,  the simulated world will get 
really, really scary.
