For those of you within travel distance of Tucson, the following
information has just come to me:
"On both Friday, February 15, and Saturday, February 16, the Pima Air
and Space Museum is offering all guests a rare opportunity to view the
cockpit of the SR-71 Blackbird during Supersonic Weekend.
Beginning at 9am through 5pm on both days, guests at the Pima Air and
Space Museum can view the normally sealed cockpit of this formerly top
secret military reconnaissance aircraft. Interactive panel discussions
followed by Q&A will be presented at 10:45am and 1:45pm each day. This
will allow visitors to meet and talk with 30 SR-71 Blackbird flight crew
members, engineers, and maintenance personnel. Crew members will be on
hand both days from 9am-5pm to participate in panel discussions, answer
questions, sign autographs, take pictures, and share stories.
There is no additional cost besides normal museum admission to attend
Supersonic Weekend! Adult admission is $9.75, Junior admission (ages
7-12) is $6.00. Discount cupons will be available starting February 1st
either online at http://www.pimaair.org or at any Peter Piper Pizza
location in Tucson."
