That's definitely the way to go if we can't find the square displays.

And it's how I have things set up at home.....a 20" monitor for the
captain's PFD & ND.  And another 20" monitor for the first officer's PFD &
ND.    The size is just about right because I've taken my CAD drawings and
overlayed them.    Very very close to the right size.

Again though, as you say, problems arise with the EICAS and CDU's.....

Never a shortage of things to plan for, eh??
