Hey Chris, tell them you need some outside Civilian medical opinions too
so I can score a ride. F-18, 16, 4, 14 don't care which one it is.

Hi Brian,
Like anything else, I cannot claim to be 100 percent right on this, but
I
did have lots of involvement with that system in the 1997-1998 time
frame,
and I did study the bird before, during and after. The two seater that
they
had was kind of cool cause they used the single seat transparancy cut in
a
special way to be used in a NEW metal frame for the back seat canopy. If
you
look at a picture of one, the back seat canopy is tapered much smaller
than
the front, so its really a clever cost saving utilization of an existing
design. There could have been some de-mothballing of this jet during or
right after the gulf war and this lucky woman ended up getting a ride.
I am currently working a contract for my companies G-Cueing NACES seat
that
we do in partnership with Cranfield Aerospace in the UK. I am trying to
work
a flight in a USN Test Pilots School F/A-18 to feel some of the subltle
nuances of "G"pressures exerted on a pilots body during certain
manuvers.....but really, I just want another Jet
Flight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
; )
Chris
