Item 5:  Tidbit--Aircraft en route to Meigs when informed of closure

There was at least one aircraft in the air en route to Meigs Field when
informed of the sudden and unannounced closure
and destruction happening at the airport.

One shudders to think what might have happened had they been on a long
flight with low fuel reserves and headwinds when
being informed of the closure.  We might be sweeping up the pieces today^

Keep faith and keep the blue side up, black side down.
