Good suggestion - it's well-regarded. So is Ximian Evolution, which is
also Linux-only, for now, but a Windows port might go down very well.
It's GNOME and GTK based, and the GTK stuff already exists on Windows,
so it's part-way there...
For my money, on Windows, Mozilla Thunderbird is the best thing going,
but there's also real Mozilla, Pegasus and Eudora if you don't want to
pay - plus things like PocoMail and the blindingly-fast Calypso. If you
don't mind paying a bit, the full Eudora 6 has spam filtering and so
forth, plus The Bat! is /extremely/ well-regarded.
If you've read the accounts of Google G-Mail's lack of folders and
replacement with smart filtering on multiple parameters, then you might
like Opera's M2 mail client, which works in a broadly similar way. Opera
7.5 is new out and has a radically revamped UI, by all accounts.
