Application associations need to be added to DESKTOP.INF

Batch file doesn't change to C: before changing the
directories.  This causes a 'CHDIR failed for \GEMAPPS\GEMSYS' error
message if I have just opened a window in desktop.app for D: and do
not open a window for C: before closing.  This needs to be fixed.

The VDI needs to be updated to the one from GEM 3.1

Anything else?
