Well, there are two main things I can see. Databases are needed, and
some form of web service is needed. A web browser.
We have GEMWeb in alpha, but the source code is not released. I have
asked the author if he would consider releasing under the GPL.
Apart from this, I think that some frontends would be the most useful
stuff. Perhaps a frontend to a DOS CD burner? This would allow GEM
to be used for things like rescue operations (boot with FreeDOS off
CD, and drag files onto a CD-R).
