[GEM Development] GEM programming tutorial

: There's couple of good tutorials on C and C++ on the internet. Just
: do the google and you'll find quite a lot. 

  But for GEM programming, it's important to make the distinction. The
source of most GEM apps is in C, not C++ let alone C#. Learning about
classes and virtual functions and operator overloading and the iostream
library and the STL will probably just confuse someone who then finds that
GEM uses none of these.
