I've struggled to find good chemical bonding agents for PLA - imo the joint
should be the strongest part.

I've used CA to hold parts in place and then friction welded them together
using left over bits of PLA filament in a rotary tool set to a slower
speed. Finally cleaning up the seam with a flat tipped wood burner.
