[simpits-tech] Diabond for cockpit veneers

Has anyone used Diabond as a veneer for their cockpits? Diabond is
basically two sheets of aluminum bound by a plastic core. I am thinking of
using a 1/4" thick sheet for my Cessna 172 cockpit to act as the veneer and
monitor mask for the instrument panel. I will mill the instrument openings
from the front and then mill out the back to route cable and to recess
low-profile encoders for the instrument adjustments. My CNC router should
be able to handle the milling work.

Has anyone tried this, and what was your experience?
