[simpits-tech] Thrustmaster HOTAS question

Hey all,
I'm asking this question here because there are really great minds that have done cool stuff here and I am way outta my league.

I have an number of Thrustmaster FLCSs as well as one remaining TQS.

I know back in the day there was someone that did some type of chip hack that allowed these to work in Windows XP, but that is long since gone.

I've just started messing around with Elite Dangerous (I played Elite when it originally came out.. :))and have been using a Logitech 3D Extreme. On a lark I dug out the old FLCS and was able to connect it with an old Radio Shack Game Port to USB adapter.

The joystick works great, feels solid and Fire button 1 (the trigger) works as well. Nothing else. That's likely due to the fact that originally, you had a keyboard pass through for the TQS and FLCS to activate all the buttons.

So here's where I'm going. I may try and get a AT/XT to IBM PS2 to USB adapter just to see what happens and if any of the buttons can work in the game. I REALLY love the feel of the FLCS and TQS and would really like to be able to use them vis USB in modern games. Is there any way to somehow reprogram them or pillage the electronic guts from some other sticks and put them in these chassis?

Sorry for the wall of text..

Mark
