I have a "Benched" N2 gauge out of a 737 that runs on a single Teensy PWM output. If yours is anything like mine, the PWM signal has to switch polarity (Go Negative) during a full cycle. I simply added a 0.1uFD ceramic cap in series on the PWM output and the Gauge input.

Check out the overhaul manual for your indicators. You're basically building a brushless speed controller.
