There's been a ton of great work done in the past couple of releases.  The 
ALS effects system is really starting to show some excellent results.  The 
author of ALS recently added support for interior shadowing and it looks 
really cool to see the structure shadows moving around in the cockpit.  It 
does require a specific shadow map per aircraft and not all have them yet. 
The C-172 "detailed" is really cool too.
