[simpits-tech] Seatbelts

I am understanding that the seatbelts typically found in cars are made
with Nylon fiber. Is it safe to assume that aircraft belts are the
same? They look identical.

On a similar note: anyone have any luck dying their aircraft seatbelts?
I'm going from faded tan to black, hopefully that means it's an easy
color change.
