Thanks Cris, I was sorta wondering about the chemical reaction bit of
it. Unfortunately I really don't have any scrap....I think I will use
cardboard to cover the exposed part of the windshield (the ends of the
fasteners are some distance from the windshield's surface, so I should
be able to keep it clean).

This isn't plexiglass though, it's the take-a-frozen-turkey-at-250kts
stuff for the front windshield. I still don't want to take a chance at
fogging up the glass.
