That's very true. I got the bug to build something around 2000, and about I could come up with for interfacing was the Phidgets stuff ($$$, not a lot of I/O, and kinda restrictive) and Leo's Beta Innovations stuff which then went away.

Now, price is down and selection is WAY up. Now I can wire up an Uno board with a couple of Centipede boards (total investment: under $100) and have enough I/O for almost an entire cockpit!

I had not checked out the Due before, that looks pretty cool. I must admit, the tough little Uno boards have done all I need so far.
