Another thing I forgot is that there's a HUGE ecology of add-ons for FSX 
and people have spent a lot of money investing in that stuff.  Combine 
that with the fact that you can get video cards that can handle the horror 
that FSX can dish out with the dial turned up to 11, and it makes for a 
lasting product line.
