I've noticed too that pretty much most of the hardcore 3rd-party development has ground to a halt (Utilities, etc..) 


Most I see nowadays is scenery &| repaints...

The only "entertainment" choice is X-Plane and FlightGear when it comes 
to currently published software. People get scared off by the "thou shalt 
not entertain thyself!" license that Prepar3D sports.
